Polymeric Spray Foam and Coatings

We use the next generation in chemical processing systems designed for the spray foam industry. Our system, designed by Akurate Dynamics, addresses the most important aspects in the application of plural component polyureas.

Our system is a total innovation and latest technology in spray foam chemical handling, processing, application, and reporting. Ultimately creating the best spray foam chemical application in the industry, providing consistent, high quality results and an excellent return on investment.

Why Polymeric?

Two critical items contribute to a good Commercial Spray Foam Job:

1. Quality Employees:
Our Employees are our backbone. Creating a good work environment and rewarding our employees for their hard work keeps our turn over low. This enables us to field experienced technicians whoknow how to get the most complicated jobs done right the first time.

 2. Quality Equipment:

Polymeric Spray Foam and Coatings uses the latest in spray foam processing technology; the patent pending Akusprayer by Akurate Dynamics. This automated spray foam rig monitors temperature, pressure, and ratio to ensure that we apply our foam correctly. We provide a CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMANCE at the end of each job. No other spray foam systems or companies offer this peace of mind!

Quality Employees + Quality Equipment = Quality Workmanship

Commercial Roof

Bayseal® Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) Insulation Roofing, when used with Bayblock® elastomeric coatings, creates a complete roofing system that insulates, protects, reduces potential of leaks, adds structural support to the building, and cuts the amount of radiated heat into the building.

This is how spray foam insulation for roofing works:
Bayseal® SPF is a rigid, closed-cell plastic created by a combination of two liquid components, which react in seconds and can be walked on in a matter of minutes. The resulting roof system provides superior insulation and creates a lightweight, seamless coating over the substrate.

Bayseal® spray foam adheres to almost every surface (BUR, metal, cap sheet, EPDM, and others), so it is unlikely to tear off your roof when it has reached the end of its life-cycle. Merely spray on Bayseal® insulating spray foam, coat it with Bayblock® coating, and you have a new roof!

Bayblock® coatings come in a variety of types, including acrylic and silicone, and a variety of colors as well. Bayblock® coatings create the perfect finish for your roof.

In addition, we offer a variety of warranties to ensure your continued satisfaction with your roof.

Covestro products are formulated to meet your design specifications including customization of coating colors, foam densities, and advanced physical properties. Our team of technical experts works closely with customers to select products based on project requirements and guidelines.

Covestro manufactures spray foam wall insulation, roofing spray foam insulation and a full line of specialty coatings that are used for commercial roofing, waterproofing, abrasion resistances and other commercial applications.

In perimeter wall applications, when spray foam insulation is properly applied to the substrate, it forms an airtight seal. During installation, the material expands to fill the stud and wall cavities from end to end and top to bottom. The spray foam expands and seals open gaps to reduce air exchange in and out of the building envelope.

Are there different types of spray foam insulation?

Yes, there are two types of spray foam insulation; closed- and open-cell. In commercial perimeter wall applications open cell foam is a performance upgrade over conventional insulation materials.

Open-cell foam is an excellent air barrier system.

Closed-cell foam has the highest R-value rating of all insulation materials. Although, the finished product is lightweight, the high compressive strength of closed-cell foam can add structural stability to the wall assembly. When closed-cell foam is properly installed you could potentially have a vapor retarder, air barrier and moisture management system all from one product.

How does a design professional choose between open- and closed-cell foam?

You are not alone in this decision! At Covestro, we understand that the insulation package is one of many important systems specified into the design of a building. We have standard specifications for your use or a member of our team will gladly attend your design or green building charrette to help formulate a custom product specification for your project.
